Landslide

Pulling in, hearing them, close my eyes and following, I’m racing
Reunited, excited, forget why I’ve been invited, escaping
Think I’ll walk around a bit, reacquaint myself to it, catch you later
Run upstairs, walk outside, share my wine and get to drinking landslide

I’m on a Landslide

Lost my shoes, take off my socks, remember what this is about, I stumble out
See a guy with shaggy hair wearing familiar footwear, he starts to shout
Follow him into the park, It’s hard to see him in the dark, but I adjust
We sit beneath a maple tree, I can’t believe he’s leaving, we talk subtlely

I’m on a Landslide

Since you’re going I brought you cake, don’t really know how that relates, but cut a slice
When you’re done come to the porch, we’ll sit together and play guitar, won’t that be nice?
I should have known you had no knife, it goes to show how out of touch I have become
Is it worth forgiving me, before I know you’re leaving me, do you recall?

I’m on a Landslide
